Adventures with a Young Mistress

Brian will talk about the "gift" of the story of Martha Morgan, the eccentric and incorrigible mistress of the Plas Ingli estate, on the slopes of Carn ingli in north Pembrokeshire. He will talk about the struggle to get "On Angel Mountain" into print, about the writing and publishing process, and about coping with the popularity of the 8-novel saga. He will also explore some of the challenges of writing historical fiction, and will examine the intimidating challenges facing a male author seeking to tell a full life story while using the words of the heroine herself.
